important to every single american because we live in a globalized world. president obama gave a very thoughtful, reflective speech yesterday. he covered a lot of ground ready focused on the middle east and the very tragic events that took place two weeks ago this week, the assassination of ambassador chris stevens in libya and three of his diplomatic colleagues. he also made two important points, that americans obviously want to show great religious tolerance for the views of others, and onand wanted to dissociate the united states from that hateful video that insulted the prophet of islam. he said that there are important rights of free speech under the first amendment and we have to protect those rights, and if the government a press free-speech, it makes the world a less free place. he also had a message for iran, that while we want to negotiate through diplomacy if possible, time is not unlimited. that was a warning to the iranian government, which has been obstreperous and very difficult to deal with. i think it was a very important speech the president gave in new york. host: h

that barack obama was a nice guy, a good fellow, a good dad and an all-around swell american but that mitt romney thought that he could probably do a better job being president and manager of the economy than he could because they were very worried about not only fending voters had voted for obama in 2008. they didn't want to sound like romney was being a jerk, but they were worried, too, pretty obviously, about what the establishment press was going to say. if romney came out and attacked the first black president on his record and went after him, what would people say? well, that strategy, the latest polling tells us, has not exactly been a bell ringer in ohio. so what you hear from romney is he gets to the must-win. it is an absolutely must-win state for him is this tough new tone, and not only is he talking about the economy as you heard him do there, but guess what's back? the debt clock. they've got the debt clock back, and they're talking a lot about how much president obama's policies cost, they're talking about the size and shape of government and, as you heard him doing very

who voted already this year, 37% don't think barack obama was born here. just 2 in 5 say the president was american born and, therefore, a legitimate president. when you ask the president's religion, this gets scary. a majority of all voters don't take him at his word. just 49%. this is all voters, say he's a christian, which is what he says he is. and 30% of republicans and 34% of conservative republicans say obama is a muslim. simple as that. now, here's the point, these bad numbers, saying it twice wrong, these 34%, they're twice what they were four years ago. when he came in people took him at face value. this guy is what he says he is. i'm american born, obviously. i got a whole history, it was announced when i was born in honolulu, in all the papers there, and i am what i am, a christian. i go to this church that caused him a lot of trouble. do we remember that? he went to a church, jeremiah wright's church that got him in all the trouble. so why have we changed from that, anger about his church with wright and acceptance of an american to this -- they're all becoming d
